Nancy P. Chin, Ph.D., M.P.H.

PhD Anthropology. Her research interests include Social Determinants of Health in Low-Income Communities. Dr. Chin also serves as the Department's Graduate Program Director.

Amina Alio, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor
PhD Applied Anthropology. Her research areas include racial/ethnic health disparities and global health. Specifically, Dr. Alio focuses on the impact of behavioral, psychosocial and environmental factors on pregnancy outcomes, particularly among African Americans.

Camille A. Martina, Ph.D.
Research Assistant Professor

PhD Education. Her research interests include Environmental Medicine and Medical Ecology; Public Health implications of endocrine disrupting compounds, social determinants of academic success, and program evaluation.

Mona Mittal, Ph.D.

PhD Marriage and Family Therapy. Her research interests include mental and sexual health of women, HIV/AIDS with women and couples, intimate partner violence and psychological trauma, and health intervention research.

Scott McIntosh, Ph.D., M.A.
Associate Professor

PhD Counseling Psychology. His research interests include Smoking Cessation in special populations, Technology / Web Assisted Risk Behavior Intervention and Dissemination of effective interventions to physician practices. He directs the Greater Rochester Area Tobacco Cessation Center.

Deborah J. Ossip, M.S., Ph.D.

PhD Clinical Psychology. Her research interests in behavioral medicine and outcomes management include tobacco use and smoking interventions, obesity prevention and exercise. She directs our Smoking Research Program.

Scott R. Smith, M.D., M.P.H.
Assistant Professor

MD Pediatrics and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics; MPH Clinical Effectiveness.  His research interests include cardiovascular health literacy (diet, exercise, and personal family history) in deaf adolescents and young adults.
