Nexplanon
Nexplanon is a flexible plastic rod the size of a matchstick that is put under the skin of your arm. The rod releases the hormone etonogestral slowly and prevents an egg from being released from the ovary. Nexplanon is a form of birth control that lasts for about 3 years. It is more that 99% effective at preventing pregnancy.
