EIOH Resident Feature - Dr. LJ Camacho

Meet Dr. Lawrence Jesse 'LJ' Camacho, a second year Pediatric Dentistry Resident.

Q. Where are you from?

A. I am from the Philippines and then moved to Binghamton, NY when I was 6.

Q. When did you know that you wanted to become a dentist?

A. I knew when I wanted to be a dentist after college. I was exploring different health fields and thought dentistry was the best fit for me.

Q. Your most embarrassing moment?

A. You're going have to personally ask me for that

Q. What do you love about Rochester?

A. What I love about the Rochester area is the abundance of international food it offers and all the scenic trails around the area.

Q. What’s your favorite thing about EIOH?

A. My favorite thing about EIOH is my coresidents, the faculty, and the staff. We're a family. They are the best part of the program. Shout out to Dr. Park!!!

Q. What do you do when you are having a bad day?

A. I sing and dance.

Q. Why do you choose Pediatrics?

A. I want to be a pediatric dentist because I want to show children the dentist can be fun and isn't as scary as people portray

Q. What are your hobbies and talents?

A. My hobbies are fitness and music. I love playing the guitar and singing. 

Q. Your favorite place in Rochester?

A. My favorite places in Rochester are the beaches by Lake Ontario
