About Me

Dr Benjamin Korman, M.D., Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology, is a rheumatologist and physician-scientist with a clinical and research interest in scleroderma (systemic sclerosis, SSc). Dr Korman did his undergraduate and medical tra...
Dr Benjamin Korman, M.D., Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology, is a rheumatologist and physician-scientist with a clinical and research interest in scleroderma (systemic sclerosis, SSc). Dr Korman did his undergraduate and medical training at The Ohio State University, followed by research time at the National Institutes for Health, and internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship training at Northwestern University in Chicago. He is a translational researcher who runs a basic science lab with a focus on vascular disease including pulmonary hypertension, fibrosis, and inflammation in both arthritis and scleroderma. He also has an active clinical research program including a scleroderma registry and biorepository, as well as observational and interventional studies.
