Archan Ganguly, PhD, is an assistant professor of Neuroscience at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He received his graduate degree in Zoology from the University of Delhi and completed his PhD in Neuroscience at Ohio University. He trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Diego before moving to Rochester. His research aims to understand how proteins essential for synaptic communication between neurons move from the cell body of the neuron to the synapses where they function, and how this process may be altered, including by gene mutations in neurodegenerative disorders.
