About Me

Dr. Houck is a Professor of Orthopedics and inaugural Program Director of the new Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Rochester. Dr. Houck is a Professor of Orthopedics and inaugural Program Director of the new Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Rochester. He recently served as the Program Director and Professor at George Fox University in Newberg, OR. He is also currently the president of the PROMIS Health Organization that implements state of the art outcomes assessment for patient care. Dr. Houck continues to practice clinically in the Motion Analysis Laboratory at the new UR Medicine Orthopaedics and Physical Performance center. Dr. Houck has published over 90 peer reviewed publications, received external funding from the National Institute of Health and other private foundations. His research interests center around clinical biomechanics, foot and ankle conditions, hip fractures, patient reported outcomes and psychosocial approaches to care.

Jeff and Jamie together have 4 children Cosmo, Mercedes, Max and Lily. Dr. Houck enjoys a range of hobbies including outdoor activities (e.g. hiking, kayaking, scuba), sports (tennis and triathlons), and art (charcoal, pastels, pen & ink and mosaic sculptures).

Dr. Houck is thrilled to be part of the University of Rochester mission to bring the best medical care possible to upstate New York.
