  • Welcome to the Del Monte Neuroscience Institute

The Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience Diversity Commission

The Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience subscribes to the values of the University and Medical Center; we are committed to Meliora–and strive to be ever better. To continue this work, the Del Monte Institute has established the Neuroscience Diversity Commission, to provide strategic vision and leadership. The commission is working on initiatives aimed at addressing issues related to diversity and inclusion in the field of Neuroscience. We affirm that diversity is essential for excellence in science.

Priority Areas:

  • Build an inclusive and equitable culture.
  • Increase the recruitment and retention of minority faculty.
  • Increase the recruitment and retention of underrepresented students.
  • Build community connections.

Members of the Neuroscience Diversity Commission include departmental and University leadership, faculty, administration staff, past and present Neuroscience Graduate Program students, and a community leader. Formation of this Commission demonstrates the firm commitment of Del Monte Institute leadership.
