Adult Partial Hospital Program (PHP) Social Work
Adult Partial Hospital Program (PHP) Social Work
The Adult Partial Hospital Program offers a goal-oriented treatment approach to patients 18-65 years of age who are experiencing an acute increase in psychiatric symptoms. The program is located at the Brighton Health Center. It offers a short-term, daily treatment program as an alternative to 24-hour hospitalization, provided patients are not considered to have serious safety risk. For hospitalized patients preparing for discharge, the PHP assists in their transition back into the community. Patients who have been hospitalized repeatedly, or who are involved in an extended treatment program, may respond favorable to a goal-oriented program.
