This includes their cultural and spiritual beliefs, as well as physical and emotional issues. I feel this specialty chose me. My background in pharmacy and pharmacology fits well into symptom management and, as a former hospitalist, I understand that medical care and the health care system can be complex to navigate. It is my goal to assist patients and their families -- and to understand each patient as a person -- before trying to make any recommendations about care. I also find satisfaction in providing compassionate care when helping people through difficult discussions. My expertise and area of special interest is in pharmacology and how medications interact with each other and with the medical conditions that arise throughout life. I am also the Hospice Medical Director for Ontario and Yates Counties. Conditions I Treat: - Palliative care for all cancers - End-of-life and hospice care for all cancersCredentialsSpecialtiesEducation1997MD | University of Louisville School of MedicinePost-doctoral Training & Residency07/01/1998 - 10/31/2000Residency in Family Medicine at University of Vermont College of Medicine07/01/1997 - 06/30/1998Internship in Family Medicine at University of Vermont College of Medicine
