About the President
Mr. Buttrill earned his BA in Economics from Princeton University and his MBA at University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business. He began his career in banking, ultimately serving as president and CEO of the Rochester Finger Lakes Banking Division of Chase Manhattan Bank. After several years assisting New York companies and banks in financial restructurings, he founded Buttrill & Associates, helping private companies with buyouts and acquisitions. In 2004, Mr. Buttrill transitioned to the nonprofit sector, serving as CEO of the Greater Rochester Chapter of the American Red Cross, and then as its Regional CEO for the Finger Lakes Region before retiring in 2014. His commitment to the community is reflected in his service on numerous local boards including Boy Scouts, SeniorsFirst, ABVI Goodwill, and Pathway Houses, and the Meals on Wheels Advisory Council.
