About The Speakers
Stephen J. Chu, DMD, MSD, CDT
Dr. Chu maintains an academic appointment as Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry and the Department of Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. He also has a private practice in fixed prosthodontics, esthetic and implant dentistry in New York City.
Dr. Chu has published over 50 articles in dental literature and has given lectures nationally and internationally on the subjects of esthetic, restorative and implant dentistry. Dr. Chu is also on the editorial review board of several peer-reviewed dental journals.
He is the recipient of the Peter Scharer distinguished lecturer award from the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, as well as the Lloyd L. Miller distinguished lecturer and E. B. Clark award from the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry.
Hans-Peter Weber, DMD
Professor & Chair, Dept. of Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at Tufts University
Dr. Weber holds dental degrees from the University of Bern, Switzerland (1976) and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (1990), as well as Certificates in Prosthodontics (1979) and Periodontology (1984) from the University of Bern. He is actively involved in research and teaching at Tufts and sees patients for dental implants and prosthodontic care in part-time private practice at Boston Prosthodontics Dental Group. Dr. Weber has made numerous contributions to the scientific literature and is a regularly invited panelist at national and international meetings. He is also a co-editor of Clinical Oral Implants Research and serves on the review boards of several other journals. Dr. Weber is the President of the Academy of Prosthodontics. He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the University Programs Committee of the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and a member of the Council of the Greater New York Academy
