Jasdeep Badwal, M.B.B.Ch.
Dr. Badwal earned his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where he majored in biochemistry and human biology and minored in physiology. He attended Trinity College School of Medicine at the University of Dublin, Ireland, where he earned his M.D. Dr. Badwal completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Baystate Medical Center at the western campus of Tufts University School of Medicine in Springfield, MA. Dr. Badwal obtained his board certification in Internal Medicine and is presently completing his fellowship in Clinical Allergy and Immunology with a focus on drug and food allergy, asthma, and immunodeficiency.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Maria Slack, he is studying at gastric dysregulation systemic inflammation in patients with CVID to identify the antibody response in the gut microbiome.
Jennifer Barnas, MD, PhD
Dr. Barnas earned her bachelor of science degree from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She attended the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences where she earned her MD as well as a PhD in the Microbiology and Immunology department. Her PhD thesis work focused on T cell and fibroblast interactions. Her internal medicine residency was completed at the University of Rochester as part of the ABIM research pathway track and she is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She has received clinical training in both rheumatology and allergy/immunology specialties. Her current research interest is focused on immune cell interactions within the renal microenvironment in lupus nephritis. She is currently developing a research project within lupus nephritis under the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Anolik
Puja Sood, M.D.
Dr. Sood earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY where she majored in Health and Society. She attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY where she earned her M.D. Dr. Sood completed her Pediatric residency training at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Sood is board certified in Pediatrics and is currently completing a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology with a clinical focus on food allergy. Her research project, under the mentorship of Drs. Seppo and Jarvinen-Seppo, focuses on understanding the role of breastfeeding and immunomodulatory factors in breast milk on the development of atopic disease.
Alanna Wong, M.D.
Dr. Wong earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California Los Angeles in Los Angeles, CA where she majored in psychobiology. She attended the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Science in Buffalo, NY where she earned her M.D. Dr. Wong completed her Internal Medicine residency training at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, NY. She is currently completing a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.
