Residency Research Track

University of Rochester Clinical & Translational Science Institute (UR CTSI)

Success as a clinician scientist in today’s highly competitive funding environment necessitates requires carefully crafted preparation. The University of Rochester Department of Anesthesiology has developed a research curriculum that takes advantage of the many education and career development options offered by the University of Rochester Clinical & Translational Science Institute. Our research track offers a certificate or a Master’s degree in Clinical Investigation that is CEPH accredited. The degree program includes 3 semesters (Fall, Spring, and Summer) in which course work is completed during residency with a mentored research project at the end.  Course work is completed in three years with a mentored research project at the end. We support this process by providing resources for: protocol development, IRB approval, clinical research implementation, data collection and analysis, presentation and publication.
