  • Identified low patient satisfaction within the cardiology service based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Provider and Systems (HCAHPS) survey
  • Implemented an intervention aimed to enhance communication between patients and their providers in the form of a welcome packet which included the names and business cards of the healthcare team members as well as written daily plans for their hospital stay 
  • Analyzed pre and post intervention surveys to assess the impact of our intervention on patient satisfaction 

The Commonwealth Medical College August 2014 – May 2015 | Quality Improvement Community Collaborative Project |Williamsport, PA

  • Created and implemented an intervention aimed to increase HPV vaccination rates at Loyalsock Family Practice
  • Interactive intervention aimed to increase knowledge and awareness about HPV to male patients and their parents/guardians in an effort to increase compliance through education
  • Compared pre and post intervention vaccination rates to determine the success of the intervention while also assessing limitations of the research project as a whole

  • Worked with staff of the Susquehanna Community Health and Dental Center to characterize the initial Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace enrollment for uninsured patients in Lackawanna county
