Every day, UR Medicine Labs serves thousands of patients from across the U.S. and beyond. It’s the largest medical lab in western New York, performing over 10 million patient tests a year.

UR Medicine Labs is part of the University of Rochester Medical Center—the only academic medical center in the area. As a result, we have the largest range of tests. We also have the area’s top specialists in pathology, so your doctor can rely on their expertise for answers to any questions.

Waiting Rooms and e-Check-in

Visitors will notice that we have increased waiting room capacity at our patient service centers. Patients will still be asked to use our self-check-in process using their smartphone, or an iPad provided inside the entrance. After checking in, all visitors will have the option to either wait in the waiting room (masked) or wait in their vehicle until they are called in the order that they checked in. If you are unable to check in electronically, staff will assist you.
