Overview
At Noyes Memorial Hospital, we believe that a new birth should be a family event—the beginning of a new chapter and new relationships within your family.
Your expectant family will feel right at home in our Birthing Center. All care here centers around you, your family, and your baby. You'll find it hard to believe the room you'll stay in for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care is actually in a hospital: it's a comfortable and cozy space that feels more like a bedroom in a welcoming family home. It's an ideal environment for mother-baby-family bonding. Plus, all exams and care are provided at the bedside, allowing families to participate and learn.

Services
The Birthing Center supports each woman's decision on infant feeding. Our goal is to assist with infant feeding by providing education that incorporates breastfeeding and formula feeding. We offer feeding services and support to all.
A breastfeeding consultant will be on hand to help you with nursing and ensure that you and your baby get off to a good start. You can feed your baby whenever he or she is hungry, on the baby's schedule. Family bonding is promoted, and family members will learn the baby's needs and routines right from the start.
Additional breastfeeding assistance is offered through classes in the B.A.B.E. program. Nurses will make follow-up phone calls to you at home to check your progress and answer any questions you may have.
If you require a Cesarean Section during delivery, you will be transferred from your room into a delivery room located within the birthing center. After your baby is born, you will return to your Birthing Center room for the rest of your stay. Noyes works closely with the professionals at Strong Memorial Hospital if an emergency transport to a neonatal care unit is required.
