Overview
Our Perinatal and Menopause Psychiatric Consultation clinic (PMCC) provides mental health consultation to people with mood or anxiety disorders who are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, have questions about the use of psychiatric medications during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding/lactating, or are experiencing the menopausal transition. We also serve people who have recently given birth and are experiencing or at high risk for post-partum mood or anxiety disorder requiring medication assessment and management. If needed, we will refer patients to a therapist or psychiatrist.
We care for individuals with mood disorders related to gynecologic conditions, including:
- Menstrual cycle concerns
- Infertility
- Chronic pelvic pain
- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) / Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS)
- Perimenopause and menopause
Provider Referrals
To refer a patient, providers who are not affiliated with University of Rochester Medicine should complete the PMCC referral form.
