Overview
The Burn Clinic provides expert burn care without the wait. When a burn is treated incorrectly, it can often lead to infection. By having your burn treated by a burn expert—right from the start—you help ensure that you will have the best recovery possible.
The Burn Clinic provides rapid care for people with burns that are not life-threatening:
- Sunburn
- Scalds
- Chemical burns
- Tar burns
- Burns from concrete
- Electrical burns
- Burns from fireworks
Patient & Visitor Information
When you call our clinic, you will be given an appointment time—usually for the very same day.
Visiting the clinic is a lot like visiting your doctor. You will be seen by a provider who has been certified by the American Burn Association. If needed, you will be scheduled for follow-up visits to assess your wound healing.
If you experience a burn after hours and need immediate care, please come to the Strong Emergency Department.
Services
The Burn Clinic provides a team that specializes in burns. The attending physician for the clinic is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery and specially trained in burn care. Our clinic is also staffed with a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, and nurses who are experienced in treating all types of burns.
