As a clinician who focuses on hospitalized adults and children I am particularly interested in the management of medically complex patients. One of my other interests includes providing high quality medical care while improving the efficiency of our system that will provide more timely discharges. My current role as the Medical Director of the Medical Observation Unit at Highland Hospital allows me to implement these practices.

In addition, my current research interest is in evaluating the knowledge base and participation of the hospitalized adolescent in the transition process from pediatric oriented medical care to adult oriented medical care.
