Matthew Zak, PharmD, BCPS, graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Upon graduation he worked at the University of Rochester Medical Center for eight years in a variety of areas, including internal medicine, pediatrics, critical care and emergency medicine. He served as a primary preceptor for PGY1 internal medicine rotations for five years and sat on a number of committees at the department and hospital level.

Zak is currently the Assistant Director of Experiential Education at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy where he coordinates the four IPPE classes offered there. He also teaches in the Applied Pharmaceutics and Therapeutics sequence as well as their elective in critical care. He maintains an adjunct appointment with the University of Rochester and currently serves as a preceptor for PGY-1 residents rotating on internal medicine.
