Betsy Smith, PharmD, earned a doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Upon graduation, she pursued a PGY1 residency at Strong Memorial Hospital.

After completion of her PGY1, Smith served as a clinical staff pharmacist in the inpatient pharmacy. She then transitioned to serve as the manager/team leader for the medical-surgical group of inpatient pharmacists. She currently practices in the Specialty Pharmacy at University of Rochester Medical Center. She works closely with the Gastroenterology & Rheumatology clinics to help manage the specialty pharmacy aspects of patient care for patients taking specialty medications.
