Biography

Professional Background

Donna Kreher, PhD, is a clinical psychologist who specializes in collaborative, integrated care. Dr. Kreher received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2011, and completed internship on the Child and Adolescent Track at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Kreher continued on at URMC as a postdoctoral fellow in Integrated Care and Family Psychology, where she received in-depth training in interdisciplinary care and family systems, and earned a post-degree certificate in medical family therapy.

Dr. Kreher has a special interest in chronic pain, and provides consultation, evaluation and ongoing therapeutic support for patients with chronic pelvic and/or vulvar pain. She is also involved in developing and evaluating new treatment programs for chronic pain, as well as research on the role of psychological factors in the onset and maintenance of chronic pain.

Additionally, Dr Kreher serves as a member of the teaching faculty for residents in orthopaedic surgery, where she provides in-depth observations and feedback on physician-patient communication skills, professionalism, and team-based care.
