Ambassador ProgramAbout the Program

  • The URSMD Ambassadors Program develops relationships and fosters pride between current medical students/trainees and University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry alumni through events, programs, tours, volunteering and more. In addition to increasing student/trainee presence at alumni events, the program educates current students/trainees about the variety of professional opportunities available in medicine.

Benefits of Being an Ambassador

  • Invitations to special alumni dinners, receptions, and Reunion events
  • Interact with alumni on tours of the School, and Medical Center
  • Enhance your communication skills through conversations with a diverse alumni population
  • Engage with the SMD Alumni Council and participate on the Bridge Committee

  • Opportunities to sharpen leadership skills while making personal and professional contacts

Expectations of Ambassadors

  • Attend an annual orientation and the Alumni Council spring or fall meeting
  • Be an advocate for the Ambassadors program and the Office of Alumni Relations among fellow students
  • Choose engagement opportunities based on YOUR availability with a goal of 3 to 5 events per year
