Open a New Debit Card that Gives Back
Friends of Strong and Advantage Federal Credit Union are excited to announce a new and improved design for the GIVEBACK Debit Card. The new design incorporates the University’s updated branding, with a fresh, bright, floral pattern to help light up anyone’s day.
Since the start of the Friends of Strong Debit Card in 2018- Advantage Federal Credit Union has donated over $25,000 back to Friends of Strong. The Debit GIVEBACK program takes a portion of interchange income generated when Friends of Strong card holders make their everyday purchases and donates it back in support of a great cause.
No money comes out of your pocket; you just support us by using the card! The debit card will be available at all AFCU locations, including the UR Medicine branch located on the ground floor of the Medical Center (G-6010) near Whipple Circle.
Signing up is incredibly easy and requires nothing more than ID, some personal information, and $5 since you become part-owner of the credit union. Advantage was established in 1931 as the Rochester City School District Teacher’s Credit Union and has served the University since 1985. Today, Advantage serves approximately 75 employee groups throughout the area.
