Your Team
Our renowned vascular and endovascular surgeons offer hope to patients whose artery and vein conditions may threaten life and limb, helping them return to a good quality of life. Our experienced team of specialists uses open, hybrid and minimally invasive techniques to repair blood vessels and restore circulation, and has helped to pioneer many of the techniques now considered standards of care for aortic and vascular surgery.
The University of Rochester’s advanced surgical facilities give patients access to minimally invasive (endovascular) therapeutic options like endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) and transcarotid artery stenting (TCAR). Our team strives to perform minimally invasive endovascular treatments whenever possible, thereby reducing pain, the length of hospital stay, and risk of infection. Our specialists are also highly skilled at traditional open surgery including open aortic surgery, bypass for peripheral arterial disease and carotid endarterectomy.
Our vascular surgeons often collaborate with specialists in cardiothoracic surgery and neurology, thereby providing a multidisciplinary approach to disease management.
