Pediatric Imaging at the Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Center in Henrietta
We are the only place in the region (outside of New York City and Philadelphia) to have an EOS machine - an advanced orthopedic imaging system. This imaging technology provides huge benefits to our patients as the dose of radiation is very low compared with tradition imaging methods. For children with scoliosis, limb length discrepancies or other deformities this is especially helpful as these children requite continual monitoring over time. This technology is not only life changing in terms of the lower radiation, but it also helps doctors diagnose and treat patients more effectively due to the precise image-based data. Surgeons are able to use the life-size, 2D and 3D images of a patient's skeleton to develop a personalized plan of care.
