Put Your Sleep Worries to Rest

A good night’s sleep is essential to maintaining good health, yet more than 1 in 3 Americans report being sleep-deprived (CDC).  Inadequate sleep has been linked to conditions such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, and depression.

University of Rochester Medicine Sleep Medicine Center is here to help. As the largest sleep disorders facility in Upstate New York, we consult with more than 3,000 patients each year and perform over 3,000 sleep studies. At our accredited state-of-the-art center, our experts in pulmonology and neurophysiology diagnose and treat many sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.

Our Behavioral Sleep Medicine program also provides patients the opportunity to work with a licensed mental health professional for treatment of insomnia. Using the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, it is a program that develops healthy sleep patterns—without the use of medications.
