Welcome

Carlo ErcoliEIOH’s Department of Prosthodontics has a long history of excellence since its inception by Dr. Allen A. Brewer in 1968. Through the years, and thanks also to the efforts of Dr. Gerald N. Graser, the second Chair and my predecessor, the department takes pride in its long history of distinction in educating and training future leaders in prosthodontics and implant dentistry. It provides its students with the most inclusive and collaborative environment for a fun learning experience while ensuring innovative educational opportunities that are at the forefront of dental education. The department accomplishes all of this while establishing an atmosphere where inquisitiveness and curiosity in research is fostered, and delivering excellent value to our residents, fellows and patients.

Residents and fellows come from around the world to become part of our Department. We are fortunate to have an extremely supportive international alumni group and a dedicated group of faculty members, who are committed to the excellence of our programs. We are open and embracing of technological, research and didactic innovations and look forward to making like-minded applicants like you part of our Prosthodontic family.

Whether you are interested in the CODA-Accredited Graduate Prosthodontic Program, the Gerald N. Graser Surgical Implant Fellowship, the Combined Prosthodontic and Periodontology Training Programs, our numerous opportunities for Preceptorships or want to couple a Masters’ or PhD degree with an experience in Prosthodontics, our faculty, facilities, alumni and programs are here to help you realize your career goals.

What Our Students Say...

Lina

Choosing the Prosthodontics Program of University of Rochester was one of the best decisions in my dental career.

The program provided me with deep knowledge and clinical experience in the field of removable, fixed, maxillofacial prosthodontics and dental implantology. There was a great balance between conventional and digital workflow training. The excellent collaboration between the dental departments, provided significant experience in multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment planning for all residents. Additionally, I had the chance to participate in several clinical research projects which enhanced my research, clinical, and laboratory skills.

The guidance and care from the EIOH faculty members during my prosthodontic residency were exceptional. The prosthodontic family of residents, faculty and alumni, remains present and supportive throughout life.
