Stanley L. Handelman Fellowship Fund

The Stanley L. Handelman Fellowship Fund was established to honor the formative legacy of general dentistry pioneer and former department chair, Dr. Stanley Handelman, to further his vision of academic excellence and address the increasing decline of people entering academic dentistry. The fund supports a resident that has a particular interest in clinical, academic, administrative, or clinical research work with a focus on graduate studies for a master’s and a PhD. The fund can also support a general dentistry resident interested in developing leadership skills in postdoctoral programs, community, and rural health care centers, and in the conduct of clinical (outcomes) research.
