Virtual Art Experiences, Music Playlists for Stress Reduction, Concert Broadcasts and More
The University of Rochester is uniquely positioned to respond to the challenges presented by COVID-19. From our world class medical center working on a rapid intervention for COVID-19 to the arts response from our world-class musicians at Eastman Performing Arts Medicine. We are all finding ways to deploy the arts in creative ways to support UR Medicine and the Greater Rochester community. We encourage you to consider using music and art for wellness. Below are links for virtual art experiences, music playlists for stress reduction, concert broadcasts, and strategic information for artists and arts organizations.
Take an Art Break! This short 5 minute video is jazzy glimpse into artists doing jobs other than their "day job" - e.e. cummings paints this Jazz Era square image, and musician Sun Ra shares his vision for space and earth in "The Satellites are Spinning" all accompanied by the Eastman Jazz Ensemble knocking some Duke Ellington out of the park. A little pick-me-up for your work day, or anytime you need a jazzy boost!

Resources for Artists and Arts Organizations
- Using the pulse of music as our guide, music therapist, Rosie Obi, leads an experiential session on using music as a tool for relaxation and stress reduction.
- Putting colored pencils (or pens, crayons, or markers!) to paper while listening to music offers a creative outlet and mindful activity. Grab some blank paper and a few colorful writing tools for this experiential session, led by music therapist, Rosie Obi, on using art and music as a means for mindful moments.
