Endocrinology Fellowship Program

Fellows at the DNA sculture in front of Saunders Research BuildingWhy Choose Our Program?

Our fellows gain clinical experience with the entire spectrum of endocrine disorders.  Also, they have the opportunity to work with our expert faculty to explore a research topic in depth. We aim to create an excellent learning environment, through mentoring, engaging educational activities, and a variety of clinical experiences. The combination of bright, enthusiastic fellows, dedicated, and diverse faculty members, friendly and supportive staff makes our program one of the best in the nation.

Flexible Curriculum

There is flexibility in the program, and it is not uncommon for fellows to tailor tracks to fit their needs during training as their learning objectives and career goals evolve.

Mentor Relationships

Our fellows most commonly reference the personal relationships and valuable mentoring they receive as one of the top reasons why they would recommend URMC.

Life of a Fellow

Our emphasis on work/life balance is an important reason fellows choose URMC. A focus on trainees' well-being enables you to learn and thrive in Rochester.

What Our Fellows are Saying

Olga Astapova, MD, PhD

“It’s a great clinical experience because we see a lot of everything; it’s a really busy hospital so there is no shortage of opportunity to learn clinical endocrinology. The program faculty are very friendly and approachable—that makes it easy to get along with everyone.

The fellows tend to be a very tight knit group... we kind of become each others' family and I really like that. The research opportunities are important and this is a good research place.”
