Elizabeth Stackhouse 

Elizabeth grew up in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. She earned her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, then attended medical school at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. She completed her neurology residency at the University of Rochester in 2025, stayed here to complete her Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship in 2026, and is now in Epilepsy fellowship here at the University of Rochester. In the future she plans for a career in academic medicine, with a focus on education, epilepsy, as well as inpatient general neurology. 

Julissa Veras

Julissa Veras 

Julissa learned her bachelor's degree at Johns Hopkins University where she studied Neuroscience. She then matriculated into Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and earned her M.D.  Julissa completed a child neurology residency program at the University of Rochester Medical Center and is currently in her Epilepsy fellowship at URMC. For Julissa, it was clear that UMRC was the ideal place to advance her career and achieve her professional goal with the support of incredible mentors.  Her fellowship ends in mid-October.
