What do you like about living in Rochester?
As a Floridian, moving to Rochester gave me a crash course in how to adapt to a climate that actually experiences seasons that aren't "just hot" and "slightly less hot". The summers here are remarkably beautiful and I relish the experience of enjoying autumn in winter in ways that I couldn't back home (such as skiing or apple picking). The variety of food here is impressive for a city of its size, especially with respect to Southeast Asian food.

Why did you select URMC for your fellowship training?
I knew that the mentorship available here was very reliable having worked with faculty as a resident. I wanted a place whose faculty truly invested in me not only as a physician but as a well-rounded person. 

What is the best-selling point of your fellowship training?
As a major transplant center in Western NY, the flexibility to work closely with HLA team here at Strong means a lot to me as I've been exploring the idea of one day becoming an HLA Lab director one day, in addition to a budding interest in cellular therapies.
