Program Highlights

The Master of Science in Epidemiology is a 34-credit, three-semester course of study designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to examine factors associated with the development and prevention of disease in populations. We meet this goal by providing students with a strong foundation in the fundamental elements of epidemiologic research and biostatistics. Upon completion of the program, students will be:

  • Able to understand and apply the epidemiologic methodologies and study designs used to examine factors associated with the development and prevention of disease.
  • Able to apply the statistical tools necessary for analysis of such data applicable to public health outcomes.
  • Prepared to take on positions in a wide variety of private and public institutions engaged in clinical and public health research and evaluation.
