Housing & Transportation
Locating housing is usually high on the list of priorities of incoming medical students. Rochester has a number of student-friendly neighborhoods with plenty of affordable rental property available. Admitted students will receive an email with a housing guide and be invited to a private Facebook group where housing opportunities will be posted. University graduate housing is available through a lottery system.
All medical students are required to have a license and a vehicle. Depending upon where preceptors are located you may be within walking distance or travel up to 45 minutes away. Students cannot rely on public transportation or ride share services.
