The Behavior Therapy Room

Behaviorally based therapy is the bedrock of intervention for children and youth with Asd and other developmental disorders.

Using principles of learning theory and reinforcement is an evidence based approach that helps families address development of appropriate skills and behaviors and minimize the behavioral challenges experienced at home and in the community. The challenges include aggression and self injury that limit community participation and threaten health and safety.

We have a very effective evidence based approach that help families address challenges earlier, as well, to prevent the behavioral symptoms that impact care and quality of life. The coordination of behavioral and medical therapies is a very important goal for our clinical service.

The collaboration of the medical/behavioral services with the community based interventions provided by schools and other agencies is an important focus of care coordination and our patient navigation efforts.
