Risk-Based Screening/Managing Women with Dense Breasts

Course Summary
This presentation will educate referring providers on available technological advancements at UR Medicine Breast Imaging. In addition to screening mammography, these advanced technologies provide more accurate detection of breast cancer. The knowledge gained through this presentation with extend greater confidence in patient care and outcomes.

Course Objectives

  1. Understand screening and advanced imaging technology available at UR Medicine, including Cone Beam Breast CT, Contrast Mammography and Tomo Ultrasound
  2. Recognize the benefits that Contrast Enhanced Mammography, SoftVue and Cone Beam Breast CT offer in the detection of breast cancer
  3. Know patient eligibility requirements when ordering additional breast imaging exams
