MR Spectroscopy

MR spectroscopy is a specialized way to analyze the chemical contents of the brain tissue. It is used to characterize the brain tumors, infarcts or stroke, metabolic disorders, developmental disorders as well as infectious processes. Although MR spectroscopy is relatively new, it can be very valuable in adding information to the MR image sequences obtained.
