Educational Need
This activity is designed to increase providers' knowledge surrounding the management of acute stroke patients and to enhance the care provided to these patients.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify and describe key risk factors in the treatment of stroke and protocols specific to NYS designated Stroke Centers
- Describe different treatment options for stroke patients
- Identify causes of stroke in young patients
- Describe the indications and contraindications for dual antiplatelet therapy for secondary stroke prevention
