URMC EACH Youth Project ECHO
EACH Youth in RCSD (Expanded Access to Child Health for EACH Youth in RCSD) - Project ECHO for Pediatric BH in Schools
About EACH Youth Project ECHO:
Hosted by Golisano Children’s Hospital with UR Medicine, the goal of the EACH Youth Project ECHO® is to provide specialty training for school teams to help support youth behavioral health (BH) needs. Project ECHO® is an interactive, web-based, tele- mentoring model used to facilitate case consultation, learning sessions, and peer support. School teams, primary care, BH, and community experts will discuss how to provide support and implement practices to address Behavioral Health needs of students across school, primary care, and the community. Participants will be encouraged to explore thematic concerns, discuss specific challenges, and identify targeted solutions while learning from subject matter experts and peer school teams in an “all teach, all learn” model.
Objectives:
- Increase school teams’ understanding of how physical health impacts social / emotional health.
- Enhance school teams’ ability to identify, connect, and collaborate silos across the pediatric system of care serving youth behavioral health needs.
- Improve school-based workforce capacity (e.g., knowledge, skills, and confidence) to support pediatric behavioral health concerns across school, primary care, and community.
