Air Pollution and Alzheimer’s Disease

Air Pollution and Alzheimer’s DiseaseAdverse effects in the respiratory tract and cardiovascular system following exposures to ambient air pollution have been recognized for decades, particularly in those individuals who are made more susceptible due to underlying disease. Mounting evidence suggests that the central nervous system (CNS) is also vulnerable to the adverse health effects that are associated with air pollution.

Short- and Long-Term Consequences of Exposure to Metal Oxide Nanoparticles

Short- and Long-Term Consequences of Exposure to Metal Oxide NanoparticlesEngineered nanomaterials (ENMs) are diverse in terms of their chemistry and morphology, thus presenting a challenge in understanding risks to human health following occupational or environmental exposures. The major routes of exposure for ENMs include skin, ingestion, and inhalation.
