Geriatric Oncology Future Patient Research Contact Database
Geriatric Oncology Future Patient Research Contact Database
Database Population
- Enrollment into this database will be unlimited.
- Only subjects who consent to be included in the database will be added.
- Eligible subjects will be aged ≥50 years.
- No exclusions will be made on sex or gender.
- No exclusions will be made on race or ethnicity.
For Studies Enrolling Subjects into the Database
Investigators may offer enrollment into the Geriatric Oncology Future Patient Research Contact Database as part of an IRB-approved study.
Prior to implementation, the study protocol and consent documents must include IRB-approved language describing the database as an optional opportunity for future research contact.
After IRB approval, investigators should provide the approved protocol and consent documents to database staff for review.
Database enrollment is completed by database staff only.
For Investigators Requesting Database Reports
Investigators interested in using the database to identify potentially eligible patients for future IRB-approved research studies must first obtain IRB approval prior to requesting data.
Database staff will review all requests to ensure consistency with IRB approval and database governance procedures prior to releasing any limited dataset.
Approved investigators will receive database reports through a secure University of Rochester Box platform.
Withdrawal from the Database
Enrolled patients may request removal from the database at any time by contacting GeriOnc_Registry@urmc.rochester.edu or by calling (585) 275-8015. Once a withdrawal request is received, database staff will update your status, and no additional future research contact will occur.
