Our Group Therapy Services offer an array of group-based treatments to persons 18 years and older. In group therapy sessions, a small number of people (usually eight) meet weekly under the guidance of a professionally trained group therapist. Group therapy can help people learn about themselves, improve their relationships, and develop better coping and symptom management skills.

When compared to individual therapy, group therapy has been shown to be as effective and, for some problems, more effective. In cases of medical illness, there is substantial evidence that this form of therapy helps people cope better with symptoms and enhances the quality of their lives.

Prior to starting group therapy, the group members each meet individually with the group therapist, who provides information about the group and what to expect.
