Overview
University of Rochester Medicine provides comprehensive care for cancers and complex conditions affecting the female reproductive system. Our specialists offer advanced surgical care, chemotherapy, genetic risk assessment, and supportive services tailored to each patient’s diagnosis and goals.
This year, more than 80,000 women will discover that they have some form of gynecologic cancer, which could affect their ovaries, uterus, cervix, vulva, vagina, or fallopian tubes. In many cases, women can take steps to prevent some types of cancer or to detect it early enough to make a difference. Our experts are committed to giving our patients the information they need to defy their medical history and positively influence their fate.
Part of the Wilmot Cancer Institute, we are devoted to caring for women with gynecologic cancers and are committed to providing our patients with the best treatments available anywhere. Our physicians are all fellowship-trained with subspecialties in Gynecologic Oncology. As leaders in minimally invasive and robotic procedures, we provide women with the most treatment options and perform the largest number of minimally invasive robotic gynecological surgeries in the region.
