Pavia-Rochester Exchange for mutual Growth and educational Opportunities (PREGO)

Our newest international opportunity debuted in July 2026, establishing an exchange program between the University of Rochester and the Universitá di Pavia in northern Italy.   This two-week elective focuses on brain health and nutrition/lifestyle neurology.  Residents rotate through Neurology inpatient services and outpatient clinics at the Mondino Foundation, a free-standing neurologic institute and center of excellence for neurologic clinical care, education, and research.   Residents also spend time with faculty and students in the Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition programs at Universitá di Pavia, attending seminars, clinical case discussions, and integrated metabolic clinics at IRCCS Maugeri Pavia Hospital. Pavia is a beautiful city located 35 kilometers southwest of Milan on the banks of the Ticino River, blending old world Italian charm with modern day amenities.
