The Laurence and Dennis Kessler Intensive Care Trauma Unit, a 3,200-square-foot space within the Emergency Department of Strong Memorial Hospital, serves patients with life-threatening injuries. This unit is the nine-county region's only Level I Trauma Center. Level I is the highest designation a hospital can receive.
