Orthopaedic Urgent Care

An appointment is always needed for Orthopaedic Urgent Care. It is not a walk-in clinic.

All locations are closed Sundays.

Not just urgent care. Orthopaedic urgent care. When you suddenly get a fever, regular urgent care will do. But for sprains, strains, fractures or broken bones you need Orthopaedic Urgent Care. UR Medicine's Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation's urgent care program, led by Medical Director Dr. Stephanie Siegrist and her team, offers same-day access to emergency orthopaedic care for patients of all ages. We are open Monday through Saturday and we have three convenient locations to serve you better—Clinton Crossings in Brighton, South Pointe Landing in Greece or the Platinum Office Complex in Penfield.

We provide the bone and joint specialists you need—give you expert care—and help avoid a trip to the emergency room.

We specialize in treating

  • Fractures
  • Sprains
  • Sports injuries
  • Foot or ankle injuries

It's important to keep in mind that some conditions such as chronic pain or lacerations, may not be appropriate for urgent care. Please consult with your Primary Care Physician or the Strong Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

  • Please bring recent x-rays and diagnostic results from your primary care physician with you to your appointment.
  • Please note our urgent care program is not a walk-in clinic.

Urgent Care for Athletes

Sports Injury Hotline

When an athlete suffers an injury, the athlete, parent, or coach may have questions like, "Is it okay to play on it?" and, "How soon can I get back into the game?" After hours, our Sports Injury Hotline puts you in touch with a sports medicine orthopaedic specialist who can provide consultation and arrange an appointment for urgent or emergency care as needed.

The Sports Injury Hotline is available all hours by calling (585) 258-0055.

In-season Competitive Athletes

Our treatment schedules are designed to accommodate in-season competitive athletes on an urgent basis. We can provide the most prompt and effective care, develop a treatment plan, and accelerate return-to-play.
