Iris Young, PA-C is a licensed, certified physician assistant in the Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology Division of the Imaging Sciences Department at URMC.
Ms. Young earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John Fisher College in 1983, followed by Bachelor of Science in Allied Health/Physician Assistant from SUNY at Stony Brook in 1986. Her career includes practicing Emergency Medicine at The Genesee Hospital, Highland Hospital, and Strong Memorial Hospital. She has also worked in primary care with Pittsford Medical Group, and inpatient care with the Hospital Medicine Group at URMC. Her currently specialty is performing spine related procedures in the Imaging Sciences Department at URMC since 2001. She also serves on the Physician Assistant Executive Committee and the URMC/HH Credentials Committee.
Ms. Young's focus is to provide a safe and comfortable experience for patient's undergoing procedures that might otherwise cause pain and anxiety. Her team includes radiologic technologists, nurses and attending radiologists, who will provide a positive experience while obtaining high quality imaging with state of the art equipment.
