While this was not true of my last visits, I feel that most of my visits are very rushed. His bedside manner is always professional and he seems to always fully informed of my issues but all too often I have this feeling that he can only spend a certain amount of time with me and then he must go. This can, of course, prevent important conversations relating to preventative health care - e.g. We have Only discuss my weight when I've brought it up. It would seem that taking the time to discuss these issues weight prevent future visits relating to other aliments. Just a thought.

After my CHF 23 years ago, my metabolism went haywire and most doctors pointed the easy finger to "overeating" which was not true in my case. The weight crept up and I became obviously bloated and "not me". ( My 7th graders could see it as well as the veterinarianbut I appeared to be an enigma to others.....) Dr. Sousou and an endocrinologist and gastric bypass doctor conferred and got me into gastric bypass surgery.. ....9 years ago and 80 pounds gone and stayed gone. It takes diligence but they believed in me and just did not dismiss me as a middle aged lady who wanted a miracle "cure". There is no way I can thank the 3 of them for giving me the tool to reset my body and move on......likely adding 10 years to my life.
