About Me
Dr. Domajnko received his B.S. in Biochemistry from Tufts University in 1998, graduating with cum laude honors. In 2002 he graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. From 2002 to 2007 he completed a surgical residency at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital located in Rochester, NY. Following surgical residency Dr. Domajnko went on to specialize in colorectal surgery by completing a fellowship at Cook County Hospital/University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008. He is board-certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery and General Surgery, and maintains an assistant faculty position at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Research projects include laparoscopic and robotic colon and rectal surgery. Community activities include involvement in public education programs such as a J-Pouch support group for ulcerative colitis patients and diverticulitis seminars.
Dr. Domajnko is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
